Small Groups

Small Groups including  Bible Study Group.

Providing a relaxed, warm and friendly environment where people can:

·      learn from the Bible and how to relate its teaching to daily life

·      pray together, including praying for each other, the Church etc

·      worship together

·      develop friendships and relationships

·      learn to minister to others and grow in the use of spiritual gifts

·      capture and share the vision of the church

Small groups currently meet on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday evenings and Thursday @ One

Bowling Club

The Indoor Bowling Club meets in the Parish Centre on Saturday evenings at 8.00pm. They play in the local league and in tournaments. The club also organises two annual tournaments: a doubles tournament in the autumn and a singles tournament in the spring.

 

Women's Guild

The Women’s Guild is an organisation for women; it meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 8.00pm in the Parish Centre. They aim to develop friendship, to encourage and support one another and the ministry of the Church locally and further a field. They have a varied programme, which includes time for a light supper and a chat each evening.

 

C.A.M.E.O. Young Women's Group

C.A.M.E.O is a group where young women can interact socially and develop common interests. They meet on the second Tuesday of each month at 8.00pm in the Parish Centre. Throughout the year they have a varied and interesting programme, including ‘hands-on’ flower-arranging, craft evenings, car maintenance, health and beauty talks, guest speakers and outings to places of interest. Our aim is to develop friendship and this is summed up in our name – CAMEO, an acronym for ‘Come & Meet Each Other’.

 

18-30 Group

Meets on the first and last Tuesday of the month at Joanne’s for dinner and Bible Study.

Moira Friendship Group  

An initiative of St John's to promote fellowship and friendship for those who are over 50 (both male and female).  Membership meetings 1st Tuesday of each month at 2pm in The Parish Centre.  Bowling and other activities on other Tuesdays during the month.
