Welcome!
Hello, I'm Roderic West, the
Rector of St John’s Parish in Moira, and I would like to welcome you to our
virtual home! On this site you will find information about our church community
and the activities and events in which we are involved. I hope that you’ll not
only explore the website but that you’ll come and experience the life of our
church for yourself. Whatever your
age, circumstances or background and where ever you are on your spiritual
journey – whether you are just beginning to consider Christianity, or whether
you already have a personal relationship with Jesus – we would like to help
you take the next step. Our Sunday
Services cater for both for traditional and contemporary tastes in
worship. St John’s is a
hive of activity with organisations
and groups for our
youth as well as
adults. Our desire is to nurture and develop increasing
spirituality and promote a Christian lifestyle as a compelling alternative to
many of the norms of society. We want to encourage members of our church family
towards greater participation in the life and ministry of the church. Our
small
groups and Bible Study group provide
opportunities for people to deepen and develop their relationship with God and
with one another and also support and encourage each other.
We also run
Alpha
Courses for those who wish to find out more about the Christian faith and
courses which
enable
people to discover, develop and utilise their gifts. As you explore
our website I hope you will get a flavour of our church life and community; we
would of course be delighted if you came to experience the life of our church
